Free Training

ECEN training courses are offered free of charge to voluntary and community organisations in Enfield.  However, a refundable deposit of £30 is required so that spaces are not wasted.  Most courses are held at Community House, 311 Fore Street, Edmonton N9 0PZ.

ECEN is currently looking at ways of providing an accredited training programme during 2008/09.  A training consultant has been approached with a view to delivering a bespoke course of study in Community Leadership, one that will meet the needs and aspirations of Enfields VCS.   It is envisaged that the course will include up to eight modules.  Details of these are given below:

  • Public Bodies and What They Actually Do
  • The Voluntary and Community Sector
  • Partnerships - Current and Future Role
  • Effective Representation - Routes to Influence
  • Principles of Effective Community Leadership
  • Community Researcher
  • Presentation Skills
  • Influence in Practice

More information will be posted here as soon as the accredited training programme is finalised.
