| The way social care delivers its services for adults is changing across the country. This change is known as Personalisation and in line with Government guidance this will have to be in place by April 2011. Personalisation will give people more choice and control about how they live their lives. Involvement and consultation is important in deciding how services will be developed and delivered and Enfield Council wants service users and carers to take part, contribute and give their feedback. Enfield Council's consultation questionnaire "Personalisation in Enfield" is now available at council offices, libraries, community groups and GP's, as well as on the Enfield Council website. Please click here to view the consultation questionnaire. The closing date for questionnaires is Friday 17 September 2010 and Enfield Council would like to encourage and ensure that as many people as possible have their say. If you are planning any events or have a regular service user group meeting, and would like someone from the Council to hold an information session to raise awareness about the consultation, please contact Cenk Orhan (Community Engagement Co-ordinator) at Enfield Council, PO Box 59, Civic Centre, Enfield EN1 3XL (telephone 020 8379 3974; email cenk.orhan@enfield.gov.uk.) In addition the Council is distributing paper copies of the consultation to all local groups to pass onto their members; completed forms can be returned using the freepost address given. Please let Cenk know how many copies your organisation will need. The consultation will also be available in easy read, Braille and requested community languages. Alternative formats of the consultation will be provided to individuals on request. Please let Cenk know of particular formats that your group may require so this can be arranged. |
