ECEN LAA Forum on Young People's Participation in Positive Activities and First Time Entrants to the Youth Justice System aged 10-17 - Report Now Available

ECEN's LAA Forum on 22 February 2010 was on the overarching theme of crime and community safety.  The Forum focussed on targets in Enfield's Local Area Agreement around young people's participation in positive activities and first time entrants to the Youth Justice System aged 10-17.  Inspector Mick Lees, who is the Chair of Childrens Area Partnership 1, attended and spoke about diversionary activities for young people organised by the police and their partners.  He also talked about the Youth Engagement Panel, which now has drop-in points around the borough rather than in just one place.  Paul Sutton from the Youth Offending Service also attended and spoke about first time entrants to the Youth Justice System aged 10-17.
