ECEN Representatives People elected by and from the ECEN to represent it on various partnerships/thematic action groups that exist within the London Borough of Enfield

ECEN Specialist (ES) Participants - these people sit on the sub-groups under the Health and Well-being Board Thematic Action Group (the health partnership boards), and the four Children's Area Partnerships (CAPs) and the Children's Trust Executive Group, which feed into the Children's Trust Board Thematic Action Group.  They are selected by a panel against a set criteria.

Election Statement - A piece of writing written by an election candidate to the electorate outlining their skills, experience, why they are standing etc

Electoral Reform Service - An organisation that manages elections for clients (such as charities, businesses, trade unions)

Electorate - Body of people/organisations who vote in an election

Enfield Compact - A document that sets out principles for monitoring and evaluating the quality of relationships, partnerships and cross sector working at all levels.

Enfield Matters Event -  A forum hosted by the ESP for residents to voice their opinions about local issues and input into the ESP's work programme and its decision making process.

Enfield Strategic Partnership - The ESP is a partnership made up of representatives from the public sector (like the Primary Care Trust, social services, the police), the private sector (like local business) and community and voluntary sector organisations and organisations. These representatives work together on an equal basis to make decisions about what services will be available in Enfield.

Enfield Voluntary Action (EVA) - An organisation which exists to promote and develop the effectiveness of the voluntary, community and faith sector through providing support, advice, information and training, facilitating participation and representation and recruiting volunteers.

 

Engagement - Involvement, the act of taking part

Expended - Spent, used up, finished

Facilitating - Made easy or less difficult or help make possible

Feedback Report - Produced by ECEN Representatives, these reports are summarised accounts of important points made at meetings which are distributed to the ECEN membership for comments.

Floor Target - targets set by government

Formal written aims - What an organisation seeks to achieve stated explicitly in writing

Funded - Awarded money for a purpose

Gauging - measuring, weighing up

Health and Well-being Board (formerly the Health and Social Care Board) - A partnership that oversees the improvement of local services, fosters effective partnership working between health and social care, enables barriers between the organisations to be overcome and encourages the use of the flexibilities set out in the 1999 Health Act.
