Riverside Community Church Annual Community Day/Street Party - 5 September 2010

The Riverside Community Church in Russell Road N13 4RS is holding its annual community day/street party on Sunday 5th September 2010 from 11.30am to 3.30pm.

The event will be an opportunity for local people to socialise and get to know each other better whilst at the same time strengthening community ties.

Permit for a temporary road closure for a part of Russell Road has been applied for with the Enfield Council.  A marquee with space for separate stands would be erected on the pavement bordering the church building.

The day's festivities will include a steel band, fairground ride, bouncy castle and live music from gospel singer Helen Yousaf, as well as the Riverside Church Youth Band.  In addition to this, various community organisations, the police and fire brigade are being invited to have stands in the marquee to promote and raise awareness of their services.  Arrangements are being made for St John Ambulance to be available to provide first aid as well as promote their services.
